I can't even imagine being that wealthy, where I can drop a grand on a ticket to a charity event. There's a boat ride/dinner around Manhattan in Sept. that benefits the Nat'l MS Society (my aunt learned about it), and I'll be lucky to scrape up the $125 for that!
